Mail-in ballots are still being processed, but the unofficial election results are in!
Congratulations to Andrea Khanjin for her return to Barrie-Innisfil, and congratulations to Doug Downey for his return to Barrie-Springwater-Oro-Medonte.
Congratulations and gratitude to everyone who put their name forward, all the tireless volunteers, and each and every person who cast their vote - despite a short election period and poor weather conditions in many areas, provincial voter turnout actually increased from 2022, reaching 45.4% (again, mail-in ballots are still being processed, so that number could rise).
Extra congratulations to the voters in Barrie - Springwater - Oro-Medonte, who exceeded the provincial average, with a voter turnout of 45.57%
