Barrie is home to two Ontario Ministers that have the power to protect water: Minister of Environment, Conservation, and Parks Andrea Khanjin and Minister Doug Downey, Attorney General of Ontario. We are traveling to gather together in Barrie to speak directly to these Ministers and speak for the water. We will share the threats to water happening across the province and the ways these Ministers can use their power to protect water, for all life.

We are also taking the opportunity to celebrate our collective work to protect water and uphold Indigenous sovereignty. We will have family-friendly activities & a community day to meet, build stronger relationships with each other, and spend time by the water.

EBO is happy to share events and opinions of our members and community partners, provided they fit within our mandate.

This particular event is in line with our values of accountability, collaboration, democracy, diversity, education, empowerment, and information. It also fits within our key focal point of environmentalism and the climate emergency.
