The first 110 new trees were planted in the fall, in Centennial and Will Dwyer Parks
A guide to the remainder of the project was developed, selecting native species whenever feasible, and in consideration of characteristics such as wildlife food and habitat, shade, plant hardiness, floral display, fall colour, winter presence and maintenance requirements

Barrie residents ages 18 and over are invited to check out the fitness centres for free on the following evenings:
January 6, 4:30-8:30pm, Peggy Hill Team Community Centre, 171 Mapleton Ave
January 7, 5-8:30pm, Allandale Recreation Centre, 190 Bayview Drive
January 8, 5-9pm, East Bayfield Community Centre, 80 Livingstone Street East
Any new member who purchases a recPASS membership during a free session will receive a City of Barrie gym bag, while supplies last
