From the Organizers

In June, the City of Barrie promised an improved transit service with better frequency, reduced trip time, more coverage, and “improved travel freedom”.

Yet as riders, we have only seen:

⛔️ Poor communication

⛔️ Poor organization

⛔️ No Integration of Citizen Feedback

City Council needs to build a transit system that works for bus riders, not just their budgets.

On Wednesday, October 30th, we are gathering at Barrie City Hall to share our experiences and demand a transit system that drives a connected community.

The Riders United Will Never Be Defeated ✊

Any questions can be submitted to @barrieriders on Instagram, or at barrieridership@gmail.com 🚎

Barrie Riders is a community transit action group, nonaffiliated with the City of Barrie or the Barrie Transit Bus Service. Barrie Riders is dedicated to leveraging the voices of Barrie Transit users, advocating for accessible, affordable, reliable and safe public transportation.
